Yesterday was the five year anniversary of my robotic prostatectomy. It was the scariest day of my life. I'm grateful to be in the zero club. I wish all of you who are still fighting this monster the best outcome. PCa has definitely changed my life in many ways. ED is permanent and PSA tests a cause for anxiety.

Isn't 5 years in the Zero club considered cured?

Congratulations, Ed. I would think after 5 years of zeros, you might want to chill out a bit, lol. You have, and are, doing great. Would love to change places.

I have just had my bloods done and all clear. It has now been 2 months short of 5 years since my operation, so I asked the urology nurse how long I would have to keep having yearly tests and she thought about
10 years is the average.
So a little while to go before the psa anxiety finishes.
All the best from England.

Thank you all for your support. This web site has been a great place to share information and provide support especially when I most needed it. David, I remember the first post I entered and the first response was from you encouraging me. I know 5 years is a long time but the PSA test will always cause anxiety.

YEA for Ed....
We need to think up a nick name for you. E and D together on this site usually isn't a good thing.

Ed, I remember when you came aboard clearly. Wish I could bottle up some of my "no worry" thinking and send it to you. No one knows what the future holds, but you are well on your way to being "cured" in the sense of the word that's appropriate to those with PC. I wish you many good years ahead.

Simply outstanding!! Yes, Dave/Purg has supported many on this forum as he did you. I'm not a math professor like Mel, but instead of being "an old 67" aren't you close to being my age--lol.

Bill, I'm your age. I turned 72 on 12/1/2013. I was 67 when I joined this forum and had my walnut taken out.
