Long term side effects of Radiotherapy.

Hi all, haven't been on for a while as I just try and get on with life as normal as one can make it.
However, I've been having some irritating problems for a while now. Which are more frequent bowel movements, as many as 4-5 times a day now and is really impacting on my daily life.

Anyway, my reason for posting is to ask if anyone has heard about Hyporbaric oxygenating treatment to the pelvis after having Salvage Radiotherapy, and has had or know of anybody that has used this treatment and how effective was it?

Hi Allen, thanks for your reply. No I haven't seen either.

As I understand it, after 2 years from Salvage Radiotherapy there will unlikely be any more improvements to side effects. Apparently, there is a test to see if there is still some residual radiation in the pelvic area. If there is then the oxygenating treatment may alleviate this.

Think I'm going to arrange an appointment with the Consultant Radiologist to get all the information needed and take it from there.

Just thought I'd ask on here first, and also it may be of some help for anybody else having similar problems, to read about this.
