anyone using this drug ketoconazole ?

can anyone give me some feedback as to how you handle being on this drug ketoconazole six pills a day and prednisone twice a day, eight pills a day (56 pills a week ) ( 2,912 pills a year )
i dont know how i can cope with this, doc said if my psa dont come down in six weeks then i have to do this new med regimine. anyone have any thoughts comments , anyone else on this trip?

It may or may not work for you it is a gamble, but it is a low cost possibility to use. Make sure you drink soda or acidic drink prior (recommended), you cannot drink grapefruit juice (could cause issues maybe overdosage stuff). There is low dose and high dose protocols, might be wise to start with low dose as see how it effects you. You cannot skip using prednisone or other steroidal, if you do potassium level could drop dramtically and put you at major risks. Read up on other drug interactions with this drug that can be serious issues (knowledge is important on this drug).

I did high dose and then low dose and thereafter tried the combo Dr. Myers mentioned: leukine+keto+estradiol (all of them were ineffective in my particular situation), however Ztyiga which also targets the same cancer enzyme CYP17 did and is working for me, which even surprised me.

Taking the drug at those intervals makes your sleeping pattern fun, too. It can be done though. Good luck with it some people have done fairly well this drug, try getting a psa test within 1 month and compare the psa results. If you have a psa rise within this time frame, you can guess it isn't working and move one to something else. Hope this helps you some. This drug is cheap which is nice to see. You could also take dexamethasone vs. predisone, little less mg. on dexa and dexa seems to have a pathway to effect DHT production (see threads on Doug's Protocol).
