hoping to chat with a fellow prostate cancer survivor. i had my prostate surgery on monday and had no idea of how difficult an experience it would be, i have had several complications since surgery and am driving my wife crazy.the worst thing so far is they have placed me on a serious antibiotic due to fever, it makes me cough for hours, the doctor said i just have to tough it out, in the mean time my stomach gets full of air from the coughing and it hurfs, anyone ever experience this?

I never had that problem with antibiotics. I wonder why he couldn't switch antibiotics with you if you are having a reaction. At least you won't have to take them for long.

Each day will get better. Walk and drink water as often as you can for the first couple of weeks to help your circulation and to get the anesthesia out of your system.

Good luck with you pathology report which you should be getting this coming week.

Hello Hector....hope that each day you feel a little better.  It takes time for your body to heal.  You have just been through major surgery.  My husband too had complications that we did not expect, but all is good now (14 months later).
