Cock ring

My Dr. suggested trying one of these and I kind of blew him off
but now have second thoughts and had some questions
which I could of asked him. im thre months post op and want to
have sex with my girlfriend . does the ring go over the penis and balls or just
penis ? if the answer is either than which one is more effective and why?
also is this therapy wherby oneday you wish to do without it ? or is it something you get hooked on
and cant do without ? also is it safe or are you doing harm to yourself ?

My boyfriend is 4 months post-op. At about 2 months post-op we started using a VED and ring in order to have intercourse. The ring we use goes over the penis only. I could not speak to any other type of ring. I feel that the ring and VED is part of therapy since it allows us to have intercourse and having sex is important to recovery. He also is using Viagra which gets him about half way there and the pump gets him the rest of the way there. The ring helps him maintain the erection for intercourse. While I am thankful that we have a means of having intercourse, I do not feel like we will be hooked on this method. Our hope is to one day only need meds and some day after that, need no meds. Until then, this has made it happen for us.
The ring we use came with the Encore pump. The ring is put on using the pump. There are different sizes of rings and you may have to try several different sizes to see which size works for you.
Next week he is going to ask about injections. We have not tried that method yet.

Have tried both "beans and frank" and "frank only" posture and former seemed a little better. These things are so cheap off the internet or Amazon you might try buying several type and see what works best. That's what I did.

Have mentioned using these silicone rings to uro surgeon and nurse on my last two routine quarterly checkups. They just noted it along with everything else: "weight, check", "pad usage, check", "any nocturnal erections, check", "how many times pee overnight, check", "ed, check", "cock-ring, check". I image they would have said something if the rings were unwise.

Just went on TRT last week due to low T reading, so will be struggling with using the scientific method to figure out what "Mr Wrinkles" needs to perform best. Some combo of TRT, levitra, rings, and prayer, I guess. It's going to take a lot of trial and error, but someone's got to do it! All in the name of science, you understand.

The rings that are made to be used with a VED (at least those made for the Osbon Erecaid: http://www.timmmedical.com/cart/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=6) are intended to be used only around the penis. They were designed to a size and tension that they would only be safe to use just around the penis.

But other sizes and types of rings are available from sex toy sites online which can be safely used around the testicles, or around both the testicles and penis at the same time.

I have had some success with both types. The tighter they fit, the less amount of time (for each use session) they can be used before sensitivity to the penis head begins to be lost.

Osbon recommends that the rings designed to be used with their pumps be used for no longer than 30 minutes in one session. Those rings are so tight that for me, they are fully capable of holding my erection without any additional help.

With the other type rings, I pump myself manually after I fit one or more in place, and they don't hold me up completely. So I have to occasionally pump up again. I seem to hold up better when I take the daily recommended dose of Cialis.

The wide/flat flexible sex toy rings seem more comfortable than the skinny round flexible sex toy rings.

Try Googling for " ENHANCE ULTRA Loop " if you are curious. It is a different kind of constricting loop than the rings that came with your VED. This sort of constricting band works for men who have some erectile function (possibly with PDE5i drugs) but could use a bit of help with their venous leak. It might also help trimix users. I expect it would be pretty useless with a VED.

I think I'm getting just a little help with Cialis, and I'm not always getting enough help with 20 mcg Caverject, even when I use them together. I was just thinking of trying a ring with my Caverject as another combination.

I have a similar loop, called a lasso. It's essentially a piece of surgical tube looped and run through one bead with a hole sized just right to create enough friction to keep the lasso in whatever tightness you choose.

I have used my Osbon VED with an Osbon-supplied ring, and then after getting pumped up and getting that ring in place, put on one of the other type rings to help hold the erection. I guess I must have made a little progress because I can now use just the Osbon-supplied ring and don't need another ring for that additional support.

So what about the Actis or something similar used with Trimix? Safe? To prevent climacturia and/or other advantages? I am thinking about ordering an Actis type.

ALWAYS buy a plastic/rubbery or adjustable Velcro RING. You may have to buy a few and test them out a bit; because you dont want it too tight nor too loose!

Steel and Iron ones are for aficionados and without the proper care could land you in the hospital emergency room because they dont come off easily. So my dear friend, buy plastic/rubbery and/or adjustable Velcro ones for starters. In an emergency you can just snip them off with a scissors.

But what I was curious about: I know the various rings are used with pumps, and some folks use them who don't even use a pump or pills just as a general aid, but are they safe to use with injections. Mainly for the purpose of preventing urine leakage during the act. But I now see this on that Actis link/page: "These products may be used in combination with oral medications like Viagra or penile injections. Warning: Never wear loops are tension bands over 30 minutes."

So I guess they are safe for use with injections, as well as more obviously pumps and pills.

One of the purposes of injections when used for rehab is to get more oxygenated blood into the corpus cavernosum. Wearing a really tight ring can interfere with that, but if you are using it for sex anything that works is fine as long as you stay under half an hour.

I found the rings that came with my VED difficult to remove when used with trimix.

But your milage may vary.

Thx, just ordered the Actis for hopefully prevention of possible climacturia, seems like it would be easier to use with injections than what came with my pump. It's getting close to time to go from injection practice runs to getting er done. I've been putting that off due to still having some incont, but hoping a ring will help a lot with that.
