I must admit I don't get on this website near as much as I used to. There are so many new names I almost feel like I don't belong here anymore. My name is Todd and I've been a member on healing well for 6 1/2 or 7 years. I joined with the likes of purgatory and TC Las Vegas. As well as many many others. I was diagnosed with a Psa of3200 and widespread metastasis. I am currently 50 years old and I have been fighting prostate cancer for eight years now. My journey began with hormone therapy namely Lupron and Casodex. I have been on Provenge and most recently I am taking Zytiga. In the course of the last eight years my PSA has been up and down and all around. I am currently at an undetectable level. So here I am just saying a big hello to all my new brothers and sisters and I hope as time allows I will get to know all of you. Todd

Todd,
Welcome back from a recent returnee. Your. Story, your courage and your resilience are an inspiration to me. I hope I can face my PCA journey with the same grace that you have.

Nice to meet you George. I really do hope I can get to know you all a little better. I am sure you will do very well in your fight with the beast. It looks like you are off to a pretty good start already. Thank you for your kind words. Regards, Todd

Todd,
You don't know me but I know you. Through your posts, your blog and the love and respect your fellow HW members have for you. One in particular - Tony Crispino - who my husband and I hold in high regard, as I know you do also. As difficult as Tonys diagnosis was he was so warm and helpful to us (among others) we will always appreciate his help.
Yes, there are many new posters here and I know very few but I always come back to learn, see how others are doing and hope for the best for each and every one.
You are inspiring, truly and I look forward to seeing that notification in my email that you have a new post! You and Mandy make a great team. My husband and I take that approach also, a team working toward the same goal.
May all the good things come to you,
Susan

Todd stay well. That's all I have to say about
that. But I did just purchase my Grand Ole Opry tickets for Friday night with a backstage tour! I'll give you a call from there. I wanna stand in that "circle" with the microphone.
Susan (Myman) all the best to you and Donald! I miss seeing you and the old "2007 HW Gang" members. But once in a great while I see a post like yours today and I think about
that all night.

Todd
First I want to congratulate you on the recent testing. Great news. Second I want to thank you for sharing your experiences on your blog. I have been recently diagnosed (Nov 2013) and found your story encouraging and insightful.
Your positive attitude and determination are traits that I am utilizing to get through my personal battle. Just hearing that it works is a huge boost to my confidence. God bless you and your loved ones.

Todd,
I have been following your blog for a couple of years. Your journey is giving many of us so much hope. You are my hero.
I have followed you with my Provenge treatments Dec 20, 2013 to Jan 16, 2014. My PSA continues to drop each quarter.
Hope your PSA stays undetectable for a long time.
Stay positive my friend.

Nice to see you again Todd. Glad to see you are living your life and forgetting about
these boards.
I love your story. 8 years. Whoa. Inspiring for me and my husband
As we rejigger our finances and take the trip of a lifetime a couple of times a year we often joke about
a financial planning book he ghostwrote years ago called "But What If I Live?"
We sure hope 8 years is in the cards for us. . . Though we will be broke at the rate he is filling his bucket list.
Rock on, Todd!

I think I remember you Todd. You're the bald guy with the guitar that enjoys life way too much. You'll always be one of the cornerstones of this room no matter how often you visit. Keep on truckin'. We will indeed beat this crap brother.

Reintroducing yourself? I think we all have that problem from time to time.
"I'm sorry dear. If you can just hold that position for a minute more I will attempt to reintroduce myself..."
But of course, Todd, you don't really need any introduction. Your blog posting is eloquent and inspiring, as always.

Todd?
Todd who?
Oh yes, Todd the Rock Star, THAT Todd! I seem to remember him from somewhere!
Seriously, Todd, you really are the "man who needs no introduction" as they used to say, or, simply, The Man. That's certainly the case around here.
As for posting, your blog is regular reading for me, and whenever I do see your name starting a thread here on the forum, I know it's going to be something that will be well worth taking the time to read.
And as for being a hero to many, so true, so true.

Wow, I take a month off from HW and so much has happened.
Todd needs to re-introduce himself??????
What's been going on around here? If there is one person here who should not need introduction it would be you Todd. If you have been gone for a while I would hope that your absence means that you have just been too busy enjoying life. And that reason needs no explanation for sure. We should all strive to spend a little more time living life occasionally.
Anyway glad to see you here Todd and please excuse my absence for the last month.

Extraordinary feat Pete. I guarantee that verb's never been used in that context before.

Hey guys
Thank you for all the great replies. When I started this thread it was because I saw some any new names that I'm just not familiar with. I pretty much wrote this thread for all the new people who might not know me and who I've never had conversations with. I don't have an opportunity to be on the board as often as I would like. I guess the proper title for the thread would have been. Introducing myself to the new guys.

Todd,
You are right, we have picked up so many new names, especially in the past year. It's good that we are making and meeting new friends and brothers/sisters, but sad that the scourge of PC keeps marching along, finding new victims. That one out of six men being diagnosed really rings true.
You and I joined the same month, hard to believe we are coming up on the six year mark in a few months.
In our two entirely different ways, our stories are amazing, along with many other men here too, of course.
I feel fortunate, that enough people choose to stay and help, even if they themselves may be well under control with their cancer, there will always be an endless flow of "newbies", each needing the same kind of help and care and support that we received ourselves. Guess this is part of the circle of life too.

Yeah David there certainly are a lot of new people and it seems like every day there are more and more. That was the reason for this thread. I have so many friends here and I have shared friendship with them for many years now. I did not want to grow complacent. I remember what I was feeling inside when I first found this forum. I was afraid. I was uncertain of my future. This thread has simply been my way of reaching out to people I don't know. I did not know the friendships that I treasure today when I first found this place. I hope I never find myself with so many friends that I cannot use another. I hope I never become so preoccupied with my comfort zone that I forget to reach out to those who need encouragement and compassion. Todd
