What treatment is he doing? From what I could tell from his TV/radio show he didnt choose any invasive treatment. Does anyone know?

i was never big on talk radio but when I did listen it would be Stern over Imus for sure. Much more entertaining when stuck in the tunnel.

I don't think what he says above about "limp dick" is honest or wise if he cares about what men might need to hear. He says doctors are crooks and treatment will leave you damaged. If not an out and out lie, it's certainly not a nuanced take on it. But, as with everyone in this area, he needs to say what helps him reinforce and justify his own choices. It's adaptive behavior.

I think Imus is extremely fortunate that he caught his Prostate Cancer very early and that it was confined to the gland. However, for the rest of us, let's put this in perspective. Imus has the means to have his PSA tested monthly or even weekly to insure that his "pepper" treatment is working. Many of us do not have the financial means to stay that close to the disease's progression. He himself stated that he went to the best doctors all over the world. I'm sure he had many MRI's and Cat scans to pinpoint the exact location and size of the tumor. How many of our insurance companies would allow us to over diagnose our situations. Given the means, many in our situation would love to eat peppers and go with Active Surveillance. So, again, it's great for Imus, but does this model really suit the rest of us. Just my humble opinion.

well, peppers or not, and money or not, a holistic approach wouldn't work for me at my age. I just wouldn't even consider it.

However, I believe Imus is well into his 70s with a low grade cancer.

In my 70s I would consider AS strongly and make changes to my diet.

Imus doesn't make this distinction in his rant but it's obviously important.

Imus used to be funny back in the day. Comparing him to Howard Stern isn't fair. Imus is two hundred years old and he used to be funny on my radio after the tubes warmed up so I could hear him.

Always found Imus and his crew to be egocentric jerks, representing that segment of the white male demographic, and not entertaining or funny. Haven't seen or heard him for years. As for his cancer, he's just lucky with his G6 at his age, not smarter.

It is all about luck or genetics none of which any of us have any say. I personally like Ron Bartlett but Imus is a jerk. Very good at self promotion and making money though
