I am alive and doing well, it is nice when someone misses you and asks about
you.
Last Fall about
this time Dianne and I started talking about
selling my water business in Alabama, selling our dream home there and moving back to Texas this year. I really didn't think we could make it all work out and really move, well every cog in our plan fell perfectly into place and we moved. My Dad who lives outside of Austin had two heart attacks about
this time last year too and the necessity of being closer to family made moving more important.
I sold my business in April, we sold our house in 2 weeks for all cash and on May 31st we arrived at our new home in San Antonio, Texas. We found the perfect house in the hills over looking San Antonio and the deck in our back yard has a spectacular view of the city and from our front yard we can see the top of the Tower of The Americas in downtown. We love it here and have had more fun with family and old friends in the past 4 months than we did in years. Both of my sisters and their spouses live very close and we all get along like best friends. In August we celebrated my younger sister's birth day with her for the first time since our wedding in 1971. (we were married on her 16th birthday).
Before we moved I had no idea what I would do for a job but I am not ready to retire anytime soon. In March while I was at Sonny's I met with the founder owner of a company while in Orlando that does what I did in Alabama and they are the second largest company in the country water purification systems. He had heard that I was moving to Texas and the branch here in San Antonio was struggling with sales so he offered me a job I could refuse, and I accepted. So I have been working my butt off and making more money than I have in my life but I am so very busy. This is the main reason I Have not been on HW I think since last April shortly after the big GFMPH gathering at Sonny's in Florida. I had no time off at my new job and couldn't make the gathering in September, but we are planning to make it to Baton Rouge for the one in April next year.
Health wise I am doing good, so far, I go I for my annual PSA test next week and hope for all zeros again. I will post about
that nest week.
I do miss everyone but I have been talking with a lot of the guys by phone in the last couple of months. I even spent an hour catching up with Startech today during my lunch. Hope to see many of you in BR in April.
