I have been having nasty back pains and had previous radiations to spine over the last 2 yrs., recent pain was constant and not going away. Went in to emergency for pain relief mainly, given hydoncon (like percoset) and it actually worked on the pain (finally), discharged went home. Next day leg numbness setting and toes tingling (redflag), back to emergency and an MRI found spinal canal fluid pressing on cord like an hour glass so had back surgery, Kyhoplasty procedure also used and some cancer cells 'sucked away by the cord'. I did have some feeling and toes movement post surgery for a few days and had some promise for recovery. Well shft and a day or so ago had back spasms and pains, looks like maybe hemmorage or other causes, maybe even a clot.......the new story is I am now an para-paylegic situation (horrible outcome). So, for others pay attention to all pains and mets and especially numbness or any losses of normalcy.
Keeping it short right now, thanks for your past support. I am on Xtandi now and have a port for future chemo, did do one low dose chemo already and may continue with weekly low dose soon or soon enough. Waiting to see what psa level is, a while back it was 14, then 14m 30 or so.....so mets can get back a low psa's especially in higher risk/gleason patients.
