Nuke Scan & Colonoscopy blood in bowel movement

Well they found blood in bowel movement, so moved from my Heartland Care Center back to Crittenton Hosp. for the scan (which seemed clear of issues) and now liquid diet for actually for 2 days because of the holiday and maybe I have been backed up some inside. Colonoscopy to be tomorrow and then see what that outcome is all about, this is my first one and my birthday is Dec. 1 and will be 64 and thus overdue for having this done. I put it off for years, just was not looking forward to having done, ever.

Was having trouble with flem and thus breathing correctly, but that has gotten better here and with meds and even I have oxygen added to me now, but can rest some between all the poking, proding for blood work and tests. Getting insulin as blood sugar increased but also cause I am on Dexamethasone which can raise that level also. Also get heprin for protection against clotting, got an I.V. with some sugar now too.

Got lots of black and blue marks for all this happening for almost 1 month now. Started my rehab program and seeing it is going to be long haul just to get to moving onto a wheel chair without assistance, which I am working towards. Never thought I would be in this type of battle along with the PCa. Well that's where I am at right now. Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving with their families and count whatever blessing we all have, my wife is with me daily and is a great comfort me.

thanks guys, the colonoscopy went well no polyps no cancer envolved, had maybe a hemmorhoid envolved, anyway no real issue to worry on that particular front, I did get zometa yesterday and today got 2nd low dose chemo docetaxel treatment and my Xtandi has already lowered my psa level recently, whereby zytiga was apparently failing to work and so the switch now to Xtandi. Anyway for others try to pay attention to any bone pains and issues, before they get out of hand and/or super painful to deal with, radiation usually handles the pain issues.....thanks for your support

So glad to read about your colonoscopy results. You have enough on your plate.

I remember when I first started the journey about 5 years ago (in fact, I came on HW before that; I had my biopsy EXACTLY 5 years ago). You were very helpful, but you seemed so far "out there." Now, in retrospect, you actually made some very good tx. choices.

I wish I could help you. Dr. Menon did do the S-P catheter for my surgery, but that was a week. I know it's much better than the Foley.

Did you say you were unable to walk? Is that still the case and is it due to pain or paralysis?

Yep, paralysis is my current condition and didn't see it coming at all......good too see another Dec 1st Saggitarian with Olds
