Logo--I feel honored to be remembered by the "poet laureate" of this forum and appreciate your sentiments. Although a vast distance separates us, I would hate to play cards with you; the ability to see into another man's soul is a rare if not dangerous gift. You have found my foxhole, and with no e-mail address listed you have forced my hand so I must reply. I'm glad to see that your sabbatical is over and that you are offering your wit and guidance to both new and older members. PeterDA is always available to translate some of your most complex posts for obtuse members.
I have withdrawn from not only this forum but also Tony's forum, "The Advanced Prostate Cancer Advocates Forum" since I have accomplished all that I can within my limited abilities for my personal agenda. My comments regarding this appear on a thread in his forum entitled "PSA-based screening-'State of the Art Report'". I can only hope that the VA gets its act together and eliminates ridiculous waiting times and offers psa tests to its veterans; in my case, I was dropped from future appointments while being monitored without my knowledge and as a result I was diagnosed by symptoms--GGRR!!
In regards to this forum, I highly recommend it to friends and other persons regarding PCa; it's the best! I have appreciated 142's "outreach" when I elected to leave the forum and other member's comments via e-mail. In particular, I was invited by "Yoop" to bring my guns and attend a "shoot-um-up" barbeque at his home. Distance and age made this impossible. MKinney listed my post as to why I left the forum, and I still believe that it's better off without my presence.
Most recently, I have been attending to my wife's needs, preparing for knee replacement surgery, (2 but 1 at a time), and assisting the Army's Transportation Corps Historian. 1968 was a turbulent time in both the States and Vietnam and I hope that my Kodak slides, blogs, and other information that I provided proves to be useful. The historian is preparing a history of the 8th Transportation Group in Vietnam and many facets of the war are not known, recognized, or deemed suitable to be remembered.
In summary, I wish you all a memorable xmas along with a long life with no symptoms. I do monitor this forum periodically and it appears that everyone is being taken care of by the others--Keep it up!
