Since we moved to a new state, I'm having to reestablish my doctor network. Due to the primary RT treatment I had, the continuing ADT2, and being due for another Lupron shot in November, I started with my Medical Oncologist (MO).
It was a good meeting. She concurred with the treatment plan I'm on based on the information in my transferred files. She'd read up and knew my case well, she knew my original urologic oncologist from Vanderbilt too, so we had a good conversation. The potential follow up from here out will likely all be mostly medical, and she agreed to be the quarterback of my follow up team.
She likes to see patients 3 times a year, so we'll change to a 4 month Lupron injection. She also said she wanted a PSA since I haven't had one since May. She likes to know the trend at least every 3 or 4 months. So, had blood drawn today and now I'm in the waiting game, sigh. Hopefully, it's still going to be undetectable!
She also said my 3 year ADT2 sentence is appropriate, and still "standard of care" for my situation. But hey, I'm halfway through it anyway!
Scheduled for a bone density scan Thursday, at 18 months on ADT2.
Overall, very pleased with her thoroughness and the plans!
