anyone want to tackle skewing effects of ultra low psa SRT

Anyone who reads my posts knows my views, hoping for other views.

Just implying uninformed logic, I would say the more sensitive a test the lower a "trigger" threshold. The ultimate goal of a test would be to obtain an absolute zero. If that is ever met in PSA testing then the trigger would be 0.00000....1 in the quest to say you are "cured" rather than for all intents and purposes cured.
Where do you draw the line?

Ive been hawking that point for the past year and half BTom. Ill try one more time as simply as I can. Skewing means Mr A has a psa of .05 and elects and infact does receive SRT. Five years later he is still.05. He has potentially skewed the results, be cause we don't now if He is .05 because he has no cancer there in the first place or that the SRT is keeping it there. He and the studies will both celebrate victories. When You throw many men into a study with similar metrics,the skewing effect can be more profound Others will then use this study to say this and that study says this and that{ all positive} and never mention the skewing effect. No one I mean no one, knows what is causing the .05 to remain and even go lower. Some will say I don't care as long as its still .05 or lower. S/E can be brutal re: SRT. It is important from a S/E end point only, for me at least. Ich Max nix for my case, just thought other may want to know this. The skewing effect is the elephant in the room, sleeping soundly…. My doctors are telling me to wait for SRT as my PSA is just 0.08 now, 8 months after it was undetectable after RP

Earlier detection of PSA does advance the decision making process for considering a secondary treatment, which for most is SRT ... so I'd say ultra low PSA SRT increases the risk of over treatment for some guys who would be fine without it. Who are those guys cause I want to be one of them.

After ultra low PSA SRT you will experience no progression, ever ?? Is the number better than 50% ? Who is most likely to benefit depends on may factors, and luck. Does not seem to be delivering a "silver bullet" to me, just another chance for a cure. They are getting better with targeting the radiation, but in most cases they are using educated guesses to where the cancer is ? Prostate bed of course start there, and sure blast the lymph nodes too and some other common area to be sure. They also sometimes decide radiate the entire pelvic area !!! Not sure that's a very reasoned scientific decision.

I read that selecting levels of radiation used in SRT treatments are not even standardized.

Does doing ultra low PSA SRT give you significant survival increase, or simply attempt to keep PSA down and delay other harsher treatment(s).
