Hey you two...you deserve your very own thread for such a monumental occasion, not just a btw, in another thread! yeah
I know you are going through some really difficult times right now, but I hope on Sunday you can find some time to forget about PCa and live in the moment of each other.. CONGRATULATIONS and best wishes.

How sweet and thoughtful, making us our own thread......but it is also sad, because we may not make it to the next one.

Our latest news was not good. Platelet's still dropping, now it is down to 19,000. Nurse practitioner & medical oncologist suggested a bone marrow biopsy, after a platelet infusion. This test will tell them if it was the Xofigo that is causing the low platelet count, or if the bone marrow is more cancerous & that is where the problem lay's. If it's the Xofigo, just a "rest" may help husbands system to regroup & start creating platelet's. Otherwise, we are on the downside of PC and it will be just a matter of time. There are no clinically proven treatment's for bone marrow cancer & at this time no clinical trial either. It will take a week to get the results back for the biopsy.

His blood is not clotting very well and he "nicked" himself shaving this morning. He had mentioned that he might like a electric shaver since it might not cause nick's and cut's. He said could I go and see if I could find him one? Well, I already had gotten one a day or two ago. He said not to spend over $30.00, now you can tell by that number, he hasn't been looking or in the market for this item. I was amazed at the prices. I got him a Panasonic Arc 3/ES-ST25 Wet/Dry/Washable and it was "slightly" over the $30.00. I hope he will like it. Thought I'd give it to him Sunday morning before it's time for him to shave for church. I think it might be a good anniversary present. With the "gloomy" outlook the medical folks gave us today, it's kinda hard to buy anything for "long term".

Don't want to do any Phase I or 2 trials, thinking more about "quality of life". Just wanted to update. Will update more on the Xofigo/Radium223 later.

If any of you guys out there in "PC land" know of "something/anything" going on in regards to clinical trials for bone marrow cancer secondary to Advanced Metastic Prostate Cancer...let me know.....okay?
