Dear Friends,
I agree with the sentiments expressed above about
the benefits of walking. I have kept up a walking regimen most evenings and it has really helped me cope with the side effects of both chemotherapy and also hormone treatments.
If you have never tried it before, put on a pair of tennis shoes and walk around the block a few times, just to get something started. Come on --- give it a try !
When winter weather hit this past year, I found an inside walking
location to get me through the winter weather months. I needed an action plan to get me through the winter. That way, I kept my walking regimen going 12 months a year --- I think that was something NEW that I learned this past year.
Some people stick to a walking regimen more consistently if they go with a friend or colleague or neighbor or spouse --- or the family dog. Whatever works best for you, I say !
I think you will feel physical AND emotional benefits from walking --- mix it up a little bit and try walking in various localities, if you wish ---
I plan on walking tonight, as a matter of fact !
My best to all,
Cyclone
