Welcome, Andrewski, glad you found us.
First of all, you probably know this but it's only been a day, so nothing to be concerned about
. Your progress will not be linear, you'll see some improvement, then maybe have a bad day or two, then further progress, etc etc. in the continence game, and everything else PC related, patience is a virtue.
Re the Kegels, sounds like you might be overdoing it. Although everyone is different. Try cutting back form your 8 sets, to 4-5 sets a day, 10 reps, maybe 5 seconds rest between sets. That's at least how I did it, it worked for me, and I know it's possible to tire out the muscles by doing to many kegels
Yes, i would try to squeeze off the leak, I think it's a good way to retrain the muscles, even if it doesn't work right away. What you are describing, (no urge, just leaking) is pretty standard early n, it will change over time. (Take this as just my opinion, I'm not a medical professional.
Your question #3 tells me you may be overthinking this a bit. Just do what feels natural. After a while it WILL be natural, pretty close to pre surgery
Being able to shut off the flow at will, is a good sign
If you were having a slight drip before, you'll likely have it after as well, but it sounds like maybe you just need to be more patient and shake the little sucker after peeing, for an extra couple of shakes.
I would think the more pressure on the perineum, the more agitation and internal irritation. Aside from that, dude, you've been thru hell, unless money is really tight, treat yourself to a fresh diaper as needed, you deserve it. Why be more uncomfortable than you need to?
Have you gotten your post op pathology report yet? Good luck, hope it's clean. With a G6 input probably is.
Hang with us, we'll help you thru the stages of recovery, many of us have gone thru the process, including me.
Tip: weigh the diapers.keep a journal or log, so you can track how much you are leaking. Use a good scale or postage scale.
Don't look at progress day to day, but week to week, it will make you feel good about
things of you see that progress in black and white.
Good luck and keep us posted!
