IO, i am not the most knowledgeable guy here, when it comes to the technical side of PC. Keep that in mind when reading what i have to say, and i know others will chime in and either confirm or shoot down my thoughts, either of which will be fine, as long as you get good information.

I don't understand why, with g6, and the "less bad" g7, and low volume in all cores, they would tell you that you have to decide something in 3 weeks or go on HT. Maybe I'm missing something? I'm not clear on the Grade 1, 2, etc, i think thats the new grading system, so maybe thats it?

The other thing i would mention, and i dont know if it is of value to you, but i met with an RO at Sloan, one of their suburban locations. While telling me that i was high chance of cure with either surgery or radiation, he indicated that if i chose radiation, he would recommend Brachy. At the time i was G6 on biopsy. When i asked him about SBRT, he responded by telling me, that in their opinion, there is not enough history to warrant them recommending it as a primary treatment. This was a bit over a year ago, i think it was before the 7 year numbers were published, i think they now have 9 year numbers on it.
I was sort of surprised. But at the same time, i accepted it, because i was 64, and planned to live to 100. (that was before i was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease)

So, i dunno, I hope this helps in some way. Deciding on primary treatment is such a *****, once you and your husband make the final decision, it will be a big load off your shoulders.

Thanks so much so far. The only area I see GRADE is in the biopsy report.
There are
2 - Grade 1's and
1 - Grade 2 according to Epstein too.

We asked-no seminal vesicles involved. No lymph nodes, Bone scan clean.
The Radiation Onc. even said, "there is a new intermediate grade-you are in the FAVORABLE intermediate group" (which we figured out from this forum)

Interestingly, our Uro never formally staged us clinically. We asked and he mumbled something. This visit the RO resident asked our Uro out loud if my hubby was ""still T2c"" and the Uro said no he is T1c. I wrote this down and then showed my husband while they were talking. It didn't make sense to us.

I mean yrs ago hubby's PSA was slowly creeping and DRE (we were told) was +. Uro then went on to explain that hubby has BPH and some Prostatitis and that was the reason for the +DRE.

Now yrs later it is PCa but still on MRI it says BPH and Prostatitis. So all this time we've assumed +DRE because yrs ago he said so but claimed it was due to BPH. Do you think that his telling the Resident hubby is T1c set aside the +DRE from the so called BPH yrs ago and now he is T1c as he said. How can that be. Doesn't a +DRE whether from
BPH or PCa still mean ""+""? which would push him over to T2.

Uro is hard to talk freely with. I really don't know why hubby has him, he is very well known in the Uro community. Hubby doesn't want me to ask the questions but sometimes I just gotta bust out and say something that seems obvious to me. Hubby said with this staging thing T1c to just let it go because he's gonna get treatment anyway. Oh boy!

Let the bills begin....We just got our first bill from Strong. This one is for the URONAV fusion biopsy. Total cost for the procedure for those interested is $2444.14. Thankfully with our insurance our copay is $100. God bless insurance.
