None too happy to be back

Not for me, I'm fine. It'll be 5 years in less than 2 months and all is well.

That said, a close friend was diagnosed with a G7 and has his surgery scheduled for early Feb at Sloan Kettering. Wisely, he avoided the local idiot Uro who nearly killed me on the table. This poor guy was treated for breast cancer 6 or so years ago and has had a double mastectomy. This is called piling on in football.

Anyhow, I've told him to check out this site, but I can't find the sticky that listed all the things needed at home when you come back from dancing with DaVinci. Anybody know where this post went

A robe....getting dressed to go no where...a robe makes it easy to just carry the bag around the house without having to put clothes on.

A cane...I was unsteady on my feet for a day or two. And if you go out you may misjudge how much energy you've got to get home.

Someone to wait on you hand and foot for a couple of days. Just dropping something can be a major ordeal.

Surgical tape....I just taped the largest bag to my calf when I got dressed to go out. (Actually, duck tape, electrical tape, doesn't matter) loose fitting sweats covers it up.

My leg bag worked great also (in fact I only used the big bag at night by the bed), but you may want to ask the hospital for extra straps because they tend to wear out fast. If they can't give you extra straps then ask for an extra leg bag. I was only cathed 8 days, but with surgery on a Monday the leg bag straps weren't doing such a good job holding it up by Saturday. Just my 2 cents worth.
