PSA --- it can be like a scattering of dandelions, right in your own front yard !

There's plenty of tools out in the garden shed --- powerful tools --- if nothing else, there's also weed killer --- just ask your medical team !

ISU: I agree plenty of tools, once we find out what we're dealing with. Dr Sholz told me not to get ahead of the facts and start working up a sweat and sharpening a specific one yet though ... gonna wait and see what we have to deal with. And there's always a blow torch and pliers if needed.

JR: Dr Almeida in AZ did well by me last time I was out there; so I'm going there first. I considered going to Munich where they have a PET/MRI machine and use a PSMA tracer which is supposed to be the new top of the line, but they had a two month wait for an appointment and the time's more important to me now.

Sorry to hear of the rise but glad to see you're getting some scans done to see what's going on.
Let me know if you ever want an introduction to Euge. I'm still a frequent visitor of his office and will see him later this month after scans.

Ray, it is good to hear from you again, but not so good because of the circumstances.

When you visited my house I was impressed by your absolute participation in all that you have done as being your own best advocate on this journey. I have no doubt that you are still in control and always looking for the answers.

Let us all hope that the scans don't find anything of significance that chase you down the rabbit hole again.

Well they found a couple of enemy holdouts:

First, there are two small spots on my ribs that look like they started at hairline fracture points. (Forward Operating Bases)
Second, there is 'recurrence' in my actual prostate. (HQ remnant making a last stand)

So met with both Marina del Rey Dr and a Boston based Radiation Oncologist, and the plan is taking shape.

1. Radiate the rib spots with curative intent, eliminate the FOBs
2. Either a round of brachytherapy or focal cryotherapy to the prostate to kill what remains at the enemies HQ.
3. Continue ADT for at least a year; perhaps look at another round of systemic therapy.

I had a prostate MRI yesterday, and will get the results after the holiday. That will tell if the brachytherapy is a possibility. BTW, first time I was relatively glad to be on Hormone Therapy -- very cute tech was administering the transrectal MRI and was glad I wasn't distracted by that!

Thanks for your updates and concern ... hope to see friends, new and old, in Rochester this fall.
