Today I booked my flight to Rochester, NY. Start arriving on September 29 and officially ending Sunday Oct. 2. This will be the 12 th gathering Mama Pat and I have attended. Only missed the first one. Such a great time with wonderful friends from the sight.

Can't wait.

last year got too busy at work with the Pope arrival. This year we have the DNC but that won't be stopping us . Looking forward to see everyone in Rochester !

Sorry to say that it's likely we won't be able to make it. Long story short, as of about a month ago, it's probable that my employment situation will be changing that weekend, and if things work out as we hope, we'll be moving around that time.

I was thinking this fall would be the time I get back to GFMPH but the dates don't line up this time. Ryder Cup is going on here just a couple minutes away so I'll hopefully be walking the course here.
Hope you guys have another great event.
I look forward to catching up with y'all at one of the next ones...

Sadly, Sherry and I will be among the ones that can't make it to NY this year for GFMPH.

We are really bummed by this, but a family wedding taking place in NC the same weekend makes it impossible for us to be there. This would have been my 13th straight gathering after only missing the very first one because I was having surgery in Detroit.

We surely will miss seeing many of our friends and also getting the opportunity meet some of the new folks that will show up this year. As we all know, the GFMPH get-togethers are life changing events for almost everyone who attends. As I have said often, the friends that I have made through these events have filled holes in my soul that I didn't know existed until they were filled by you folks.

We hope that all of you have a great time and those of you sitting on the fence about attending need to read some of the past posts about GFMPH to get a real understanding of what it is.

Tomorrow, Saturday I will be attending the funeral of Bert B's father. Bert B is a member here from WA but is from Baton Rouge. His Dad passed away at the age of 99 from PCA. Diagnosed at the age of 85. Did not have treatment. There will be a few of of from HW at the service.

Bert's Dad, Bud was a great celebration of life. Such a testament of love, life and family. Wow 99 years old and looked like he was 70.
