Had my 1 yr PSA yesterday. Of course I was running (very) late for my appt., Doc still saw me but had to run the non-ultrasensitive test due to time constraints caused by yours truly. <.10 (thats all the test could run to). Still, another "<" to be thankful for. Next test 6 months, even though I'd have felt better running the ultrasensitive test. Lesson.... make sure I'm not 25 minutes late at the end of the day next time.

Awesome...I didn't realize some Docs give you instant PSA feedback. I get mine done at quest occasionally, takes a few days of course. At NIH I get one every 3 months and it takes a couple of hours. Couldn't they do the Ultra and just give the result a different day? Anyway great result....Jim

not getting the "time for" schtick...but hey medicos have the same backside for data as the rest of us...whatever works...expect the same in 6months...nay fully expect....

The "time for schtick"" apparently means that that it takes less time to run the "regular" test as opposed to the ultra-sensitive.

Jim...Yes, my clinic can run both tests and analyze blood results right away, but the ultra-sensitive does apparently take a bit longer. Instead of being 10 minutes early, I was 25 minutes late ...and at the end of the day when my doc had to give some body else bad news. That was on me.

And yes, I will take a deep breath and celebrate a little.
