Does anyone have any experience or feedback on Dr. Vanlangendonck - in New Orleans who performs DaVinci robotic prostatectomies? Husband recently diagnosed after biopsy - Gleason 7

I have no information about aforesaid doctor. It may be helpful for you to know that if you are in the NOLA area that Tulane has one of the very best Prostate Cancer doctors around. He is an oncologist Oliver Sartor. He is all over the web and is highly recommended by other doctors, including Charles Myers. If not information for now, perhaps for later.

Vanlangendonck is a choice for surgery if that's the rout you choose. Certainly not a bad idea to have Sartor on the team moving ahead.

Sartor has been my MO at Tulane since August 2011. Looks like the surgeon you mentioned is at Touro.
My surgeon at Tulane, Benjamin. Lee, had performed more than 900 DaVincis when he did mine. You'll want to make sure whoever you go with has done many of these procedures already. Dr. Lee has recently left Tulane to take a new position as head of Urology dept. at Arizona State U.
