after 1 month on the clinical trial of enzalutamide my psa has dropped from 7.75 to 3.54.i hope in another month it will drop further.

Mickey: Others with similar experiences will add to your post. In the mean time I hope, in another month it will drop to less than you expected!

Mickey, I would be asking about the possibility of radiation treatment...If you can get a clean bone scan and MRI, your insurance company might go along...Killing the primary tumor is always a good thing.....The ADT has your cancer reeling. Give it another punch !

i have a spot on my left hip where the mets are.would it be advisable to try and zap it,or wait to see if the xtandi will shrink it?

after 4 mos. on the trial of xtandi my psa is down to .60,but the last set of scans found a spot on one of my kidneys.the doctor said it was renal cell carcinoma.i get scans every 2 mos.he said we would just watch the kidney for now.he also said it was very rare to see kidney cancer along with prostate cancer.on a good note,the spot on my hip is not increasing in size.

Mickey, did they say the hip spot was cancerous, i had one, but a closer Cat scan found it to be a cyst.......

i have had numerous scans since august 2013.its been called cancer from the start.i have asked about the possibility of it being something else,but every doctor that has looked at it says it has metasticised from my prostate.

All i have been through and all my research, i am not sure if we all are getting the right information, with a psa orig of 4.82, then i find that most research says that Cat scans and Bone scans do nothing with a psa under 20, hard to figure if its all about money or what.....

psa 0.37 today.the scan shows the met on my hip is not getting any bigger.its a good day

scans showed the spot on my hip had diminished slightly,my psa is now 0.25.its a good day.

uptick to 0.23 this time.scans showed no increase in spot on my hip.going on my 15th cycle of 28 days on xtandi.

Good news, Mickey. I also have a spot on my pelvis that was read as a bone met but then questioned. They still don't really know but I am presently undergoing SRT. Did your report say whether the spot was sclerotic or lytic?

That's a great result Mickey, especially with such a nasty initial diagnosis and no evil invasive primary treatments.

That is a great inspiration to others.

no news is good news on the kidney spot,doc says it hasnt gotten any bigger.i have asked several times about how they can be so sure that the spot on my hip is a bone met,so far i dont have a definitive answer.i am still taking the trelstar every 24 weeks as well as the xtandi.
