Hi:

Having failed docetaxel and now taking cabazitaxel, I am rapidly approaching the end of my options. Trials are the bright star now but I am excluded from most having had chemo and Zytiga.

I have been invited to apply for a consult by NCI. Would those of you who have had experience with NCI kindly share with me? Would another source in the US be better, e.g., MD Anderson?

Being a Canadian, I would have to pay out of pocket for any fee and travel, so I am concerned about what I leave my widow.

HB you should research NIH as well. I get the impression they don't care where you are from. I was in a trial there and it could not have been better. They did pay plane fare and stipend for meals and room $58 per day combined. But the value of the treatment far exceeded that.

Also look at individual companies as well. Sometimes things show up there although they seem to do a lot over seas.

Check with Sonny3 and with wampuscat. I know they have both done a lot of studies but can't recall if it was NIH or NCI. Also check with Tony Cirspino who is a national PCa advocate in Vegas.

Regarding the above, NCI is part of NIH.
More importantly, I hope that the consult will be helpful.
