Any one here doing T injections. How long and can you share your results?

I was doing injections but got insurance to finally approve the gels, there is a generic gel now from Israel called Perrigio, much cheaper than androgel. No more hassles from insurance. After TRT 3 years now my total T is over 400, free t is 90, both moderate range on scale used by the lab. My bone density has improved to within normal range at hips, spine is just barely below normal range. A vast improvement from 3 years ago says the endocrinologist. Depression a bit less, libido a bit better, my psa has never changed from undetectable since surgery

Thanks for your input. My T level 2 months ago was 200. My primary dr thought I should start TRT but wanted to check with his Uro friend. So today Inadressed it with my Uro. He thought zi would be fine with it but would want to watch me closely.
We shall see.

I've been using Androgel for several years.. We talked about
injections...but the additional visits to make sure the dosage was good turned me off.

I started injections about
2 years after surgery. Urology monitored closely and we changed frequency and dose a few rimes. It helped a bunch but swings in levels still persisted after a few years. I finally got insurance sorted out for gels a couple months ago. The improvement for leveling out energy and mood swings is dramatic.

I'll second the gels. I've been using Testim for over 4 years and the daily application closely mimics the natural fluctuations in hormone levels. Your T level is naturally higher in the AM and tapers off toward the end of the day, so application of the gel in the AM works best.
Before the gel, my T was around 220. With the gel, it stays just above 500. It makes a WORLD of difference for me.

I've been doing injections for most of the past 5+ years, with a break between my diagnosis and my six month post-op PSA test.
My first doc wanted me to really "optimize" T levels. He was shooting for values in the higher end of normal. That doc was also selling me the T and other meds himself, so he did have a conflict of interest.
These days, I'm followed by my urologist. I take 300mg every 2 weeks and my T sits in the mid-500's rather than 900 like before. I did prefer the higher doses and felt better at the higher level. But, the current method saves me thousands of dollars per year out of pocket, so I'm sticking with it.
I use testosterone enanthate, rather than cypionate.
