I'm a Software Engineer and my work requires a fair amount of concentration. I'm a scatter brain at this point. But to a more important point... how much time do you think these procedures will take...
I'm a self-employed computer consultant that also writes software and can understand how a lack of concentration can really cause software development problems.
Being self employed I work out of my house from time to time. I scheduled all my "visits" prior to the surgery and then worked from a recliner with a couple of laptops. Worked great actually. I was supposed to have a backup person but get this, he Emailed while I was in surgery saying he wouldn't be able to cover. So I was literally answering Emails / phone calls 3 hours post surgery. Turned out to be a good thing, I would have bored out of my mind with daytime TV.
Don't know if it's an option for you but maybe your boss would let you remote-in for a few weeks if you choose surgery. I think many who choose radiation continued to work throughout their treatment. I'm getting 25 treatments of follow-up radiation now and continue to work.
