Flomax and incontinence

I am eight weeks out from having the bad boy taken out. I had been on flomax prior to surgery for about a year due to weak stream.

I ran out of flomax last week due to poor planning. I use a mail order so it took a week to get my refill. The week I was not taking it, I noticed a decrease in the number of pads I have been going thru. I thought that maybe I was turning the corner.

Started the flomax again a few days ago and it seems that the faucet had been turned back on. Dripping like crazy.

Anyone else experience this? Should I stop taking it again? Is it really needed since I dont have a prostate anymore? My stream is strong at night and first thing in morning. Non existent during day. Just drip, drip, drip. Doc never mentioned taking it or not taking it in post surgery follow up.

I took it after surgery for awhile to reduce need to pee frequently at night. It helps to empty your bladder by loosening the muscles. After bladder neck heals completely you shouldn't need flomax again.
