Very sad day for HW and GFMPH

A very sad day indeed, for our brotherhood. I've met Jim at a few of the GFMPH gatherings. A really nice guy, and a huge help to so many of us.
Rest In Peace Jim.

I am overwhelmed with sadness for the loss of our Brother, Jim Crotty. I read many of his post over the years, was encouraged by him always, he truly fought the good fight. Clearwater posted very nice words of tribute. he deserves all that and more.

Jim, my Brother ,now finally, Rest in Peace, No more Lupron, no more chemo ,no more pain.
Wings of Eagles, knowing that he is being carried by Wings of Angels.

This is a very sad day. We have lost someone who was a generous contributor to our community. May he rest in peace.

I never met Jim but I always looked forward to his posts. He will truly be missed. God bless his family in their great loss.

For men with metastatic disease, success is often said to be living with it long enough to die of something else. Jim was a wonderful guy -- endlessly generous with his time, support, and attention -- he will very much be missed by everyone he touched. He has beaten the beast at last. We just wish he had a few more years before he declared victory and retired from the field.

I too have met Jim and the gatherings.

sitting in my work truck reading this post has giving me a heavy heart . Jim was such a great kind hearted guy. I know he was taking care of his lovely wife . truely a sad day .

So sad to hear. I met Jim at the GFMPH gatherings and he was a great guy with a great sense of humor.

I guess I'm just stunned by this news. I only "knew" Jim for the short time I've been here on the HW PCa forum, but he was one of the guys who reached out to me when I was first diagnosed and in shock. He was truly loved and appreciated here, as I know he will be where he is now.

Thanks, Jim. May you rest in peace and may your family find peace in all that you have done.

I am truly and deeply saddened by this news. I had met Jim and Karen a number of times, and felt that I, like a number of others here, had come to know the two of them.

In addition to the many fine qualities being mentioned here that Jim had, I especially remember that whenever I was talking to him, I always got the feeling that he was genuinely interested in me as a person, and in what I had to say. In that way he valued others, and they could sense it, so it’s only natural that others came to value him.

My heartfelt condolences, certainly, to Karen and to the rest of Jim's family.
