To be more certain about
ones status your comments make a lot of sense.
As stated above...all of the most notable AS programs follow a fair amount of biopsies...or one repeat one at least. And the mapped biopsy Allen suggested would be the most complete surveillance....
To play devil's advocate for a bit:
That quote above by Prostate Cancer Biopsy for Active Surveillance
by Dr. Mark Scholz
I did research him and his practice. He has a very high amount of really satisfied customers/patients. and very good reviews.
In trying to find people complaining about
bad outcomes from his protocol for low risk people.....which relies totally on imaging for followups on AS and only biopsies if there is a change or other indicators like a rise in psa etc....I could not find any. People raved about
him in reviews and people on the Inspire forum that have used him and his practice just can't say enough positive things about
him. He has also written a lot of studies.
However...I have not seen actual data showing success in his practice either. Of course I have not read every/any studies about
his success rate.
I posted a thread about
this. Didn't mean to be repetitive.
But this makes me very curious about
what I find on him and his practice and what I don't.
I'm sure he is a known entity here.
What's up with that?
