Hard to believe it's been 30 months.

PSA results back today: 0.30 from my Primary doc's lab. I love how his nurse casually said, "PSA is normal at 0.30....". Obviously she didn't know/realize the whole context...

On a negative note, my triglycerides are about 300 and that's high. I started a T supplement and have resumed my craft beer habit, plus a healthy Mexican food/chip diet; therefore I'm about 13 lbs heavier (on a 5'8 frame) than I was the morning of my HDR treatment.

Thank you all for the support over the past three years.

Sounds like you need a growth spurt to about 5'11". Then your weight is A OK!!

Dewyne, we arrived here with diagnosis around the same time. I recall your going through HDR. Glad it's all worked out for you. Best off luck for continued success

Congrats on the good results. I'm about 6 months behind you and my results are tracking close to yours. Maybe this is a typical track for HDR monotherapy. I don't recall the results of many other HDR patients but I remember Hawaii Guy has posted with similar PSA levels at about the same times after treatment.

Great news on the PSA.

triglycerides, just a number. More salsa, less chip. You'll be fine.

Salsa is great. My fav is Green Mountain variety. And some potential anti Pca benefit. Had asked my urologist years ago, prior to being dx'd, about whether he thought there were foods with anti Pca benefit and he said at the time that the only one he was convinced had benefit was tomatoes. Though for max benefit you probably needed to be eating it your whole life, not just starting then.

That's great PSA news!

Speaking of nurses (and even some doctors) not really understanding the difference between pre-treatment PSA and post-radiation treatment, when I had my semi annual PSA last July it had increased from 1.28 to 2.56. When my PC doctor told me I almost fainted. He said that's normal for your age. I wanted to punch him in the face.

Looking good. Im HDR / 25 months back and at a similar point, .25 PSA....feeling strong. ..down to every six months visit to test. Keep at it.. be strong...be great.

Thank you all. I'm not a good forum member any more, but I'm sure glad I found this place.

I probably would've done well with my urologist' recommendation of "surgery, totally", (he was like 35 yrs. old), but I'm certainly glad I took a few months as some of you recommended (I remember JNF, Tudpock, Allen, etc.) during my initial inquiries here.

Except for a lower ejaculate volume, I'm doing pretty great!
