2nd opinion on biopsy?

I understand the logic for a 2nd opinion on a positive biopsy but what about a negative result? Should I have these slides sent to JH or Bostwick if they come back negative?

Biopsy is a week from tomorrow.

YES. If you want to sleep good at night for a while.

Slides and stuff and the humans involved have been known to make mistakes.

I know how much fun getting a biopsy is, but another choice may be to get a second biopsy (once you have healed). Please remember that a biopsy only gets a small amount of the total prostate. There are cases where men had a negative biopsy only to get a positive one when retested.

No! If you get a negative biopsy, you go home and celebrate! There is nothing to analyze. You would only send positive slides to get a second opinion.
