First...thanks for all of the feedback. We're feeling our way through this, trying to learn as much as we can, and trying to be
open to all options.

I heard from my URO today, and asked him about
his experience...he performs about
20/year with 95% success on incontinence and 50% success on ED. I've asked for a referral to Dr. Smith at Vanderbilt for a 2nd opinion.
My PCP (I'm learning the lingo!) suggested I contact the Cancer Clinic in Atlanta...said they had a patient treated there recently with good results, very happy with the quality of care. It's a hike to ATL, so I may keep that in my back pocket for now
My understanding of my options are either radiation or surgery, both are very viable with high likelihood of success. I'm understanding that if radiation does not get everything, my surgical options are limited....but less likelihood of incontinence or ED.
Surgery "should" get everything at this stage leaving a PSA at or near 0, and changes are easily monitored. If more procedures are needed in the future, both surgery and radiation are still options. However, higher risk of incontinence (5%) and ED (50% according to my URO).
Hoping to get more info from the radiation doc on Friday.
Would like to hear more on members' experiences with both options...if you don't mind sharing!
