I have been low carb for a very long time now, due primarily to coronary artery disease. I am not however blessed with a large amount of discipline . Over the last two weeks or so I seem to of gotten control and have been avoiding sugar other than a small amount of fruit at night.. i've also eliminated redmeat and all forms of dairy aside from an occasional Caesar salad forgetting that it's got some cheese sprinkled into it. I've also avoided egg yolks.
I doubt that this will have any affect on my next PSA test it's coming up too soon. But I'm hoping maybe just maybe it will slow things down going forward.
It's very weird, I was always a meet and potatoes guy never a sweet guy. Since my prostate surgery I crave sweets like never before. That's been my biggest battle. Although I really miss a good steak.
My plan is on my 80th birthday, assuming I'm still around.when I figure what I eat isn't going to really matter much I'm going to order $1000 worth of this
http://www.thecookiedoughcafe.comHere's something I found, which I may have found here, don't recall, that is worth spending some time on...64 pages on Nutrition and PC from UCSF. Easy read though mostly in the form of bullet points...
