Could not find the August update thread so here's one-Just came back from CTCA, Goodyear and the blood test were all good PSA <0.06. I am truly blessed for someone with PCa. My Dr. says I am one of his star patients. My result is tempered and heart goes out to those "on the rise", like my friend Tom, whose PSA is hovering around 600. But, as always, keep the faith!

Congrats on that beautiful < .06! BTW, if you don't mind a brief OT, I spent 1970-1973 at Luke AFB, first places I remember trying to find a place to live with my wife off base was Litchfield/Avondale/Goodyear areas, but we ended up buying a trailer in a park in Glendale. I recall some 116+ days. I recall one day, working in Bullhead City- maybe 1985, 122F! But to really make it crazy, I also had 1 minus 23F Feb night in Flagstaff, just a few hours drive from those hotter areas! (But WAY up the hill! ) What a state!

I could not agree more, Sir!

109 degrees ! The nice thing about summers in the Arizona desert, where I grew up, is that cooking is easy: fry eggs or boil a pan of water on the sidewalk. Grab a steak out of the freezer and toss it in the air--as high as you can for well-done;not-as-high for medium; and an easy flip for rare. And of course, when the dogs chase the cats in the Arizona desert heat, they're both walking.

Thanks to all for your great responses.
Made me feel like a real star. But in reality, all the PC patients posting, all the brave and courageous ones in trials, and for all the millions of others touched by any cancer, to all the dedicated researchers and Doctors and nurses caregivers, you are all stars of of your on merit. I can only hope and pray for undetectable, durable long lasting Remissions, lowering of PSA's, shrinking mets, new treatments, and combinations of treatments to come, better than any that any that we have right now.
Keep the faith, battle on! Peace out.
