Yesterday hubby and I went in for his latest reading (after LDR brachy with Dr. Brian Moran in October 2016). This time it bumped up a bit: went from .79 up to 1.2. Dr. Moran was not concerned and we know these things happen, and of course came home and then read the literature and discussion here that even suggests that maybe these bumps can be signs of better prognosis (who knew?). Still, we would have preferred another precipitous drop and it does vest more anxiety into the next reading (in November) but will roll with it for now.

But again it's always helpful to read the case studies and assurances here! You all are a font of information and always the voice of reason. So as always just want to say that even for those who don't post often, this forum is such a great resource. Thanks as always!

I think all of us go through PSA test anxiety to some extent, so we can relate. Hubby should be fine.

Post RT PSA can be bouncy.

Kind of like those bouncy houses. Sooner or later the PSA gets tired and stops bouncing.

Hang in there and I know Nov. seems along way away.

No matter what the numbers are, those small moves can lead to lots of anxiety. With you on that for sure. Dave had his PSA done a couple days ago so we've just been through that.

Mildly funny story: previous PSA the doc said was undetectable and we never saw the actual number. This time it was .04 and we were both like "uh oh - does that matter??" Then we looked up the number from previous and it was the same. (So I guess that's in the range the doc considers undetectable.)

Dr. Brian Moran is an "artist" in his field of LDR BT. Feel safe that your husband is under the care of one of the best in the world. Bumps come with LDR or any other RT. And, you are right about bounces coming with a better prognosis in some of the researched trials. Another "Brachy Brother" added to the list of, IMHO, one of the most successful treatments on this board.

Antonia I also was treated by Dr. Moran and had a bounce (a couple of them in fact) (check my sig). I was freaked out, like a punch in the gut, but Dr. Moran talked me down. My next PSA also went up but the one after that was down and it has been down-down-down ever since.

The waiting sucks and the anxiety is killer but I am sure this is a normal bounce for your husband.
