Intermittent vs continuous ADT

Just calculated my probable doubling time as +- 8 months. Had RALP, ART around 2 years ago. Now I appear to be a candidate for ADT. Have heard from my URO that even 1 shot of "Intermittent" hormones may be enough, then wait for PSA results. Have heard form an MO that his "sweet spot" for intermittent is 18 months. Anybody have an opinion on what is current thinking of best practice intermittent ADT?

Once again, I really appreciate the incredible knowledge and experience from HW brothers/sisters.

FWIW I'm 12 months into 18 months of Lupron. As another right side G8, t3b N0M0, I'd say go for it. In previous threads here on HW we discussed the currently accepted standard of 18 months. In my case, I won't know if my PSA will go up or down until the current 6 month shot wears off, presumably later in 2018. If the shoe fits wear it.

Thanks, Rob. I will probably land on the hormone highway in March or April unless PSA goes back down. Your numbers are really close to mine.
