Got prop call for my HDR BT, yikes!

Got an unexpected call from my ROs office for a preop call. The nurse was great and went over everything in detail and it is pretty simple. I was caught off guard, in part, due to I have had PC out of my mind mostly for a couple of weeks. Having made the decision treatment I guess brought relief. And the call snapped me back to the reality that it is still there and needs to be treated. I am in a good place and actually want it to be over with. 7 months waiting is a long time for me. 10 days to first treatment and then two weeks later for the secind round.
The procedure is pretty simple. Under general anesthesia, they insert the caterers in the peritoneum. Bring you back to consciousness and then in another lab insert the radiation source for a fixed amount of time. They then knock you out again and remove the caths. about a half day event, I am told.

The only minor issue was the dates got screwed up and I have to cut my ski trip short by one day. I will be in Utah with my son for a couple days os skiing prior to the surgery.

Glad this next phase of the journey is about to happen. Denis
