Hello all, really don't understand all that is going on in this forum and a lot of the #'s people are posting but I do know I have stage 4 prostate cancer. I was never told what my Gleason score is but I do know what it is. I was diagnosed in Jan. 2017 and head a cancerous mass removed from my lymph nodes in my abdominal area and that has not resurfaced. At this time my psa was 235. I have been getting lupron shots every 6 months since then and did 6 treatments of taxotere after that with a casodex kicker which worked fine for a while but my psa crept up to around 80 and they started me on Zytiga. That didn't work well and when my psa hit about 335 they started me on Jevtana which I had my 1st application of 3 weeks ago. My psa as of 2 days ago was 493 but I did have an infusion yesterday. My alkaloid phosphates (I know that is not quite the right term but anyone living this knows what I'm talking about) have come down from 1100 to about 750. My psa did come down to 2.9 after my round of Taxotere and casodex. Anyways , is there any one out there living with similar #,s that can advise me on treatments or alt avenues to explore? Thank you, notyet
He has already run through many standard treatments for a metastatic situation. If anyone here can provide additional suggestions I'm sure he'd appreciate it.
