It's a very difficult thing to measure with radiation because men who get radiation are, on the average, around 70 whereas men who get surgery are, on the average, 10 years younger. At 70, erectile function has usually started to decline naturally, so results are expected to be worse. It also depends on what question is asked (e.g., any erection? firm enough for penetration? lasts throughout intercourse? only with ED meds?).
