I think that's a fair statement - But 'normal" doesn't mean ideal - a very healthy prostate (say, in a 25 yo man) should not be dumping any PSA into the serum. It is only because of pathology (eg., BPH, prostatitis, urinary retention, PCa) that PSA finds its way into the serum. PSA is supposed to stay in the prostate and semen. So cells that have been healed by RT may not dump PSA anymore.
