Just my opinion

I think it is an injustice not to have Tall Allen on this board and not to have where he is presently giving out the best professional advice.I think the newly diagnosed and ones seeking life decisions making advice need all vehicles of treatment,if not for TA I would have been lost and would have made wrong decisions,so I think you guys in order to be true us guys you need to bring him back or at least put back where he can be reached,we need his opinion and advice,you want prostate cancer victims to have the best doctors and treatment so I think we also deserve all the best advice that we need to make good sound decisions on treatment options..JMHO

With no disrespect intended, I have always been curious about Tall Allen's credentials. His signature made it clear he's not an M.D. So, and again with no disrespect intended, I've never been quite sure about the advisability of a non-credentialed individual dispensing some pretty serious medical advice.

We all share our personal experiences, refer people to studies and study results, and offer encouragement. But, and maybe I'm "old-school," I've always felt that if someone, and I'm not necessarily focusing specifically on TA, is giving me serious medical advice, they should have some sort of degree certifying their expertise in the field.

TA obviously knows a hundred times more than I do about prostate cancer. So do some others on the forum. But does anyone here possess any actual medical credentials?

Some do...what what an absolutely silly question. If you want to judge, then judge on the quality of the inputs he gives. Allen’s are the highest quality.

I am CPR certified and in Boy Scouts I earned First Aid merit badge.
I also learned basic first aid in Army Basic Training.

OK, it is definitely not acceptable to post our names unless permission is given. But didn't he, the gent in question, always have a link to his blog in his signature? Which if clicked in will take you straight to his name? Come on, people, be reasonable. The posting of a name, IN THAT CASE, is no big deal. Hopefully discussions on all things related to this person will soon end. How much more is there to say? He is gone. If you must have his opining, he is readily available elsewhere.

Sigh. It appears that some believe he was run out of town on a rail and disbarred from returning. Not true. He left by choice because he didn't like being moderated like the rest of us stiffs. So it goes.
