White Blood Cells and radiation

Along with the 9 month PSA test my PCP ran a full blood screen as it is annual physical time. I have the appt with him next Monday but over the phone the nurse told me my WBC was quite low. I believe it was 2.5 along with low Neutophils. I have looked back over previous WBC from other annuals and see that I have been fluctuated between 4.2 ( low ) and 5.2 ( normal ) over the years.

The little I have researched so far indicates that WBC can be affected by radiation treatment and by the cancer itself.

My question is? Anybody else who had RT have issues afterward with low WBC.

I had a CBC diff panel done last year about two weeks after completing my IMRT treatments and my white blood cell count (WBC) was also rather low at 2.4 th/uL (standard range 3.4 - 10.5 th/uL).

My 'Neutrophils Absolute' & 'Lymphocytes Absolute' numbers were also low at 1.35 th/uL (standard range 1.60 - 6.50 th/uL) & 0.52 th/uL (standard range 0.90 - 3.00 th/uL) respectively.

They were all closer to normal this year when tested back in May.
