It's inspiring, Todd, the story you have lived and continue to share with us is simply inspiring!

I, and many of the rest of us here, already knew much of your story, as you have thoughtfully provided details of it with us in past posts you have made.

But to see now such a complete version of it, as is presented in the article, just leaves a person with a feeling of amazement! Thank you so much for sharing this more complete story!

What I find especially compelling about your story is that, as you even suggest, there may well be a Plan at work in all this, that the things that have happened to you in your life that have challenged you so much, have just been a part of this Plan, a Plan that will work for your benefit, and will work to bring you to a healthy state and give you peace of mind!

So that, as the Plan will see to it, getting in your thirty-plus years with Mandy IS going to stay on schedule for the two of you, and IS going to happen!

Thanks again for sharing the amazing facts of your life with us!

Freaking awe-inspiring, Todd. I'm going to re-read your story over many times. It has countless lessons for the rest of us. I may send it to the guys who whine every time they stub their toe ;)

Very interesting, inspiring, and encouraging. May you have many more years of living. That bear story has been ingrained in my memory since you first posted it years ago.

that was such a great read and really an inspiration to so many of us here. But it is really a bigger story, one of a man who battled so much more that prostate cancer. Thanks for sharing.

This is one of the best articles I've ever read about PCa and the advances in treatment.

It's also one of the best articles I've ever read about someone facing, and handling, devastating personal issues. To say it's inspirational is an understatement, and I'm glad to see your story spread as widely as possible.

(Can you believe it's over 5 years now since that 2013 "GFMPH" cruise? Wow!)

First off, Thank you guys for the awesome replies. Hmm I’m a poet don’t ya know it. Lol. It is so weird that I have been here so long that all the names have changed. Well, almost all! I have been a member of this forum for about twelve years. Throughout the journey I have said goodbye to too many friends. Others who found this band of brothers in their time of need have been cured and moved on. A few of us continue here. We are not among the cured. Thankfully, we are not among the fallen! We continue to post and share our journey though not as often as we use to. Thank all of you for being here and being part of this weird and sometimes dysfunctional family.There were a few comment I wish to reply to in a less generic way.

Lieutenant. Your replies always mean a great deal to me. I often go back and re-read them as there is much wisdom to be gleaned.

Clock- You and Andrew and redwing are some of my oldest friends on this site. Yeah Jerry old buddy I can believe it as I turned 55 a couple month or so ago. It has flown by. Clock I am glad you remember the bear story. To me it has become a symbol of strength and hope.

Prat- What can I say man. I really want to meet you. I have followed your journey and really see you as a standout guy.

Subdenis- Are you a submariner. My Son is onboard a fast attack out of Puget Sound. Thanks for the anonymity reminder. I never did the 12 step and my life is an open book if it will help others so the rule does not apply to me but thank you.

To everyone else, thank you. Jim did a really good job with the article and I am happy he chose the photos that he did.
As always I hope it can help just one other person. Todd

Skypilot. Can’t remember if I’ve asked this before but are you a pastor. The pastor of the church I attended in my youth was a Cessna pilot and a pastor and he enjoyed the handle of sky pilot as it had a dual meaning in his case

The article is a great combination of human interest, focusing on your interesting and inspirational story, and a highly informational discussion of prostate cancer and its treatments. Everyone diagnosed with advanced PCa should read that article.

Wow ...and just wow,.. after reading that, now I know a more complete history of what you have been through in this Journey, I am even more amazed and inspired than ever before. I printed out the article as a keepsake, and I will indeed be sharing this with many folks. I know you are indeed a miracle man!
I would have changed a few words that the author wrote but that's not up to me. Just keep on keeping on Brother, and as always, Keep the Faith!
