Bitter Gourd

All my life I have been eating bitter gourd. My Gleason 3 + 3 (biopsy) treated with brachytherapy in 2011 is now metastatic with many lymph node involvement. I don't believe in any form of natural cure. We should be very careful in relying on natural cures. It is OK to supplement conventional treatment, but not replacing it completely with natural cure.

Some natural cure can be dangerous. For example, apricot seeds containing cyanide.

My neighbors are from China and plant their entire backyard in bitter gourd and supply us with a lot. They have used bitter gourd as a dietary staple for nearly 80 years. They have had several cancers including a very nasty bout of colon cancer for him a few years ago.

I lived in Southeast and East Asia for nearly 15 years and bitter gourd is a staple particularly for the Chinese. They also have a significant incidence of most all types of cancer particularly as they are living longer.

I hope professor Chen is not making money off his bad information. He should show his scientific research that follows well accepted rigor and review. Too bad this stuff continues to percolate and mislead vulnerable people. And ddyss, it has been researched. And as to Metformin it has proven to have some positive effect, unlike any clinical proof of bitter gourd. Don’t confuse the two.

Also remember and appreciate that the human body is not a Petri dish. That a compound can have an effect on certain cells in a Petri dish does not mean the same effect will occur in the body. The compound is first digested and chemically altered before reaching the blood stream to hopefully be delivered to the cancer. However many compounds never reach the cancer or may even be rejected by the cancer and have absolutely no effect though they were marvelous in the Petri dish. And the body has its own alkaline balance that it maintains. Introduce something different and it quickly gets changed so as not to upset the marvelous balance our body maintains. Overdo it and you will kill the person. And that is in and of itself the ultimate cure for all cancers.

And of course there is no cancer anymore in any state that has medical CBD, the wonder cure that is widely available and spelling the end of big Pharma.
