You are correct, too. It's a common short-term side effect AND a common late-term side effect...actually, the most common bothersome side effect following RT. This is probably the most typical reason for "younger" men who have a choice of treatment modes to NOT choose RT...because of the late-term side effects hitting while they are still relatively young. We see this over and over here at HW/PC and in the case studies when radiation oncologists steer some of our "younger" members away from RT in favor of surgery primarily because of their age. Unfortunately, when you need SRT, then you need SRT...but I would never jump the gun on it...there's clear signs above and beyond just PSA as indicators for SRT...
