Hello everyone! I used to be an active member here when my dad was battling PC many years ago and loved the support of the group and all of the people here. Fast forward 6 years and I'm having severe anxiety over PC since my last lab work. If you add that to all of the confusing information on the internet whether PSA velocity matters and I'm a wreck. I wanted to ask your opinion as I'm waiting for my end of May appointment, which is the soonest I could get in.
My PSA numbers: 2013 0.8, 2014 0.7, 2015 0.8, 2016 0.9, 2017 0.6, 2018 0.5, 2019 1.3. How many of these numbers do I plug in to figure out velocity and more importantly, does velocity matter? My psa almost tripled in a year, but was .9 3 years ago, does that make this years number less likely to indicate cancer? I am not sleeping well and of course suddenly i'm having butt pain from scrotum to spine and seeming pressure down below. I'm hoping it's just anxiety, I might try to get in to see a doctor sooner. Anyhow, I appreciate any opinions you guys have
I forgot to mention, I'm 44 years old with the higher risk from dad.
