Raloxifene (Evista) to prevent gynecomastia

I am on Casodex mono therapy for the last two years. In order to prevent gynecomastia I am also using Tamoxifen. Tamoxifen works well to prevent gynecomastia but has a side effect of significantly decreasing testosterone level.
Has anyone used Raloxifene instead of Tamoxifen for this purpose?

As far as I know, SERMS like Tamoxifene or Raloxifene increase Testosterone levels! I took a tiny dose of Toremifene in the beginning of the iADT OFF phase to speed up Testosterone regeneration.

I was considering getting the five shots of radiation to the chest if I ever went on long term Casodex. It seems to be easier than adding more pills. Did you look into this? I'm wondering if it works as well as the pills.

Lowroad: Casodex increases the testosterone levels. In order to prevent breast tenderness and swelling, I use tamoxifen but in my case tamoxifen has an adverse impact on testosterone levels. Every month, T level decreases by 30% compared to previous month. At end of last month T level was 295 so I stopped using tamoxifen during December. So at year end I will have another blood test and we will see if the decrease in T level stops or reverses.

Schoolpsych: 2 years ago, when I started Casodex, I had my breasts irradiated, unfortunately it didn't work for me.

After I developed painful gynecomastia during my first Lupron course I started taking raloxifene which stopped the pain and further growth and reduced the gynecomastia somewhat but not much. Now in my second course I take it only three times each week and that seems to be adequate to prevent more growth. My RO here at home and the one at Mayo as well as the two different MOs I've had here at home have been fine with it. My guess is that raloxifene increases testosterone in men who are not on ADT but for those who are on ADT it is not contraindicated. It did not increase my testosterone. I should add, though, that Casodex is a testosterone receptor blocker so it works very differently than Lupron which actually reduces testosterone.

As I understand it radiation is very useful to prevent gynecomastia but once it develops radiation is not helpful.
