peyronie's disease?

Alrighty then... So out of the blue when I have an erect unit I have what looks like an hour glass indentation. It showed up out of nowhere. Done some reading on this disease, most are bent, caused by trauma and hurt like heck. Mine just has this indentation and is referred to as the hour glass look, is pretty rare and might be the reason why my erections don't last as long. This happened about 3 months ago, was hoping it would go away, nope. Could this be caused by the imrt radiation/brachy seeds?

Prostate surgery is a significant risk factor for Peyronie's Disease but, as far as I am aware, radiation for prostate cancer is not. I did some Googling and the relationship between radiation and Peyronie's in the research seems to center on radiation as a (not-very-good) treatment for PD.

As for whether your contracture was the cause of your so-so erections, anything is possible but it's more likely that causation runs the other way. Peyronie's is caused by minor (often unnoticed) injuries to the penis that form unfortunate scars. That sort of injury is often caused by the bending of an imperfectly erect member. That may explain, in part, why prostate surgery is a risk factor for PD. We surgery guys spend quite a bit of time making do with a damaged (but hopefully recovering) erectile response.

But, where the problem came from is not that important. The important thing is that it's treatable. Be sure your urologist knows what is going on and be proactive about seeking treatment.

Gedman, Saw your info after a search, and since I live in Chicago I'm trying to make an appointment with Levine. Found a very informative forum related to this disease as well with all sorts of info. I just cant figure out how mine came about as I had zero trauma.
