Still a Zero

Hey guys. Life has been crazy busy this year, so its been a while since my last post, but I wanted to pop in and say hello. Hope all are doing well. Recently had my psa and glad to say its still a zero! A point of interest is that going for psa results doesn’t generate quite the anxiety that it used to,....but it will soon be ten years. I figure being a G9 does that to a fellow.

Anyway, my uro said there was no reason to do the uPSA test in future, and just go with a standard psa, but he still wants the six month intervals. So I’m glad about that,....I guess.

Nine years out for a G9. Outstanding!

Congratulations on the wonderful news! It gives me hope as a fellow G8/G9. Question: I see you were on Lupron. Is that still the case? If not, I'm curious to know why the Lupron after the surgery without any ART/SRT. Thanks.

Paul, I did two years of lupron immediately after RRP. The cancer I had was contained in the prostate which was removed. ADT in my case was somewhat controversial at the time and still is in most circles... Some would say that I would still be a zero without the adt, and others disagree with that. Regardless, I’m still here and still a zero. Doc is confident I’ll croak of something else.

Did you know there is a cellular connection between PCa and melanoma? Men with PCa are statistically more likely to have a melanoma experience in their lifetime. Yep, I’ve contributed to that statistic.
