I just received my PSA results from LabCorp. In the past they reported undetectable as <.006. This test shows a result of <.015. Does anyone know whether LabCorp has changed their lower limit of detection?

I don't know, but that's a great result.

As long as you have the magic "<", it doesn't matter.

Crack me, clearly a cause for celebration, not concern. But if you really want to know, I’d call labcorp. I went on their website and there is no “lower limit of detection” listed, it simply states Ref range is 0.000 to 4.000

One of the dangers of prostate cancer....obsessing about
everything. A result of <.015 is cause for celebration!

Thanks, all. I did call Labcorp, but they will tell me nothing. After all, it’s just my test results! I will follow up with my doctor next week after the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

Frack, i think if you call them back and push them hard, you will get someone. You have a right to know. Ask for a supervisor. Get the names of senior management if you have to. I did that at Quest when i had a problem and i got results. Its not fun, (actually if you are in the mood it can be) but it can be done you just need to make some noise.

Hello FrankM,
same situation happened to me last week from LabCorp. Did you ever get an answer from Lab Corp about
your psa change from <.006 to <.015 If it was a change to their lower limit of measurement?
Thanks,
Ray01
